Project Based Learning

  1. Projects have a driving question that can be answered through the project deliverables.
  2. Projects have deliverables that demonstrate student competency/mastery of essential skills.
  3. Lessons and activities are connected to project deliverables and/or the driving question.
  4. Students have time to work on project deliverables during class.
  5. Rubrics are used to assess both processes and products, and are given to students at the start of the project.
  6. Students have multiple opportunities to achieve and demonstrate competency / mastery in each of the essential skills.
  7. Project design includes appropriate differentiation / personalization (options clearly delineated and accessible to all).
  8. Projects incorporate the Habits of Heart and Mind.
